It was a beautiful evening at Lula's Distillery, perfect for gathering an intimate group of powerful, inspiring women. Quaint décor and warm, natural lighting from the huge window lit the barrel room as NAWBO members and guests exchanged greetings. The staff did a wonderful job at creating an inviting space, delicious hors d'oevres & a dazzling signature cocktail called the NAWBO-Nolito - arefreshing vodka mixer perfect for spring!
Representing the NAWBO Board were Dee Clubb, Myra Corrello, Regina Correa & Shea Marshall. A buzz was in the air - what was the P.O.W.E.R. Program Fidelity Bank was so proud to offer? How would it benefit women and their businesses? Our guest speaker, introduced by Liz Broekman of Fidelity, Mary Foley captured the attention of the audience right away. 'Besides your Mother or Grandmother, who is one of the most inspirational women in your life and why?' That definitely got the ladies involved! She briefly highlighted the importance and impact of powerful women who have mentored or motivated us to be bold & fierce. It was an impactful reminder that we should honor those strong female figures and be inspired to motivate the next generation of young women in business. Business cards were collected for the special opportunity to be highlighted on the podcast hosted by Ms. Foley, giving a qualified female-owned business the spotlight! Fidelity Bank also detailed how business women can take advantage of banking perks and exclusive networking through the P.O.W.E.R. Program.
Myra spoke briefly about the Goldman Sach's 10,000 Small Business Program and introduced some of the graduates in attendance. Dee welcomed all guests & invited them to be a part of our NAWBO Nola sisterhood. All enjoyed the energy of the evening, made great connections for business and shared sentiments of looking forward to next month's event!
