Melissa Daigrepont is the Public Information Officer, Economic Development Specialist, and District International Trade Officer for the Louisiana District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration. She joined the SBA in December 2012 and served as a Business Opportunity Specialist and Budget Officer during her first year with the agency.
Currently, Melissa is the Project Officer and Grant Manager for the Louisiana Small Business Development Center network, two Women’s Business Centers, and one Veterans’ Business Opportunity Center. She is the Program Manager for both the Emerging Leaders training and development program for CEOs and the Boots to Business entrepreneurship training course for transitioning military. She also manages and conducts public affairs and media appearances for the district office and heads all economic development initiatives such rural outreach and veterans’ and women’s entrepreneurship programs.
Melissa is a licensed attorney and served as a U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General (JAG) from 2002 to 2012. During her time in the military, she completed a hardship tour of duty in Diego Garcia and a deployment on the aircraft carrier USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. She also served in Baghdad, Iraq in during Operation Iraqi Freedom and is a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW).
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Indiana University, a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law, and an LL.M. in Military Law with a specialty in International and Operational Law from the U.S. Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Legal Center and School in Charlottesville, Virginia. She is a candidate for Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Tulane University – A.B. Freeman School of Business with an anticipated graduation date of June 2016.
Melissa was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and her family is from Pointe Coupee and Avoyelles Parish. She and her husband, Lieutenant Commander Jay Powell, reside in New Orleans where Jay is a pilot in the U.S. Navy.

Caroline Taylor - Vice President, Small Business Administration - Underwriting Manager, Capital One Bank
 
Caroline S. Taylor, Vice President, Small Business Administration Underwriting Manager. Caroline leads and manages underwriting, loan approval, credit policy and process functions for the Small Business Banking SBA Lending Team. Additionally, she consults and partners with Commercial Credit, Loan Administration, and Sales. She is a direct SBA contact for training Small business bankers across Capital One’s footprint in conjunction with Market Credit Executives.
Caroline has 15 years of lending experience and has actively participated in SBA lending programs for 7 years. Caroline joined Capital One in 2013 where she assisted in establishing its current SBA program. Prior to joining Capital One she was a Sr. Underwriter with Legacy Wachovia and Wells Fargo. Caroline received her undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University and has completed formal credit training for commercial banking through Wells Fargo’s commercial lending college. Caroline is married and has 2 boys.
 
Tatiana Clay Jurzak - Business Consultant with the Louisiana Small Business Development Center
 
Tatiana Clay Jurzak is a Business Consultant with the Louisiana Small Business Development Center. Since 2009 Tatiana has worked with over 600 clients to pursue their dream of business ownership. Specializing in assisting entrepreneurs access capital to start and grow their businesses, she has helped her clients raise as much as $5 million in capital annually.
In 2013 she was named the “Start-up Super Star.” In 2014 she was awarded the America’s Small Business Development Center “State Star” for most outstanding Business Consultant in Louisiana. She has a Bachelor's degree in French Language and Literature from Furman University in Greenville, SC and a Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from the University of New Orleans. She has worked in several small businesses around New Orleans, taught English to school children in France, assisted in the production and opening of an international art exhibit, collected oral histories for Louisiana State University and is an experienced bookkeeper. Tatiana also serves as Treasurer of the Board for Ben Franklin High School alumni association and Goat in the Road Productions, a local theater company.
Tatiana was born and raised in New Orleans. She and her husband, Jason Jurzak, live in the French Quarter where Jason is a professional tuba and bass player and band leader of local jazz group, Meschiya Lake and the Little Big Horns.
 
Randy Scheuremann - Vice President, Sr. Business Banker, Capital One Bank

I am responsible for managing a book of business banking clients that have annual revenues of $2MM-$25MM.
I handle all aspects of their business banking (IE. Lending, deposits, and treasury services), and the business owner’s personal banking needs.
I have over 14 years of industry experience, and have been with Capital One’s Business Banking team since 2009.
My area of expertise is in oil/gas, marine, fabrication/manufacturing, and distribution industry types, but manage businesses of all types.
I am a lifelong New Orleans native.
I am married (23 years this week), and have two boys (aged 16 and 9)
 
Alberto Queral - Director of Financing, JEDCO (Jefferson Economic Development Corporation
 
Alberto Queral was hired by JEDCO in 1995 in the capacity of Commercial Loan Officer. He was eventually promoted to his current capacity of Director of Financing. Prior to his employment at JEDCO, Queral worked within the banking industry for approximately 15 years, where he developed commercial banking experience, including both consumer and commercial lending.
Queral is primarily responsible for the lending function at JEDCO and management of the finance staff. The lending function includes the interviewing of prospective borrowers, project structuring, credit underwriting, preparation of financial projections, packaging and obtaining loan approval from the finance committee and other administrative layers. Other functions include marketing of loan programs and JEDCO overall and answering loan inquires both in person and by telephone. He is also fully bilingual in English and Spanish, a skill that allows him to serve the Parish’s Spanish speaking constituency.
The JEDCO finance program provides loans for acquisition of fixed assets, working capital and initial inventory for Jefferson Parish-based businesses, both new and established. The program has the ultimate objective of promoting economic development and job creation / retention activity in Jefferson Parish. A JEDCO loan accomplishes what is commonly referred to as “gap” financing, as these loans provide terms and conditions that are ordinarily not available conventionally.
Queral has also completed courses in financial accounting, management, economics, business and other general studies while following a business administration curriculum at UNO. He graduated from Leadership Jefferson, a program of the Jefferson Chamber. Until 2014 he assisted and lectured students from UNO’s ExCel course, a business program with the purpose of preparing persons with disabilities from across Louisiana start businesses.
