NAWBO-NOLA's September meeting was held at the beautiful Lula's Distillery on St. Charles Avenue. It was an evening that was designed for lots of business women to have fun! We entered this beautiful venue on the historic St. Charles Avenue and had the private Barrel Room dedicated to our meeting. Our goal for this meeting was pure networking so we could get to know each other and our businesses.
Signature cocktails made with Lula's spirits were the order of the night. The first hour of our event occurred during Lula's happy hour. We were able to try a myriad of specialty cocktails made with Lula's Vodka, Rum, or Gin for only $6. We also had some wonderful small bites that were passed around during the meeting. We always have to balance our partying with some great food, right?
We welcomed our current members, but had a great group of guests. It was an exciting night as everyone was excited to introduce themselves and get to know our guests.
One of the final highlights of the night was an exclusive tour of the distillery where the spirits are made. We were treated to a description of the process used to make the spirits, a discussion of both the source of the ingredients (many critical ones come from rural Louisiana) and the selection of botanicals used. It was exciting to see the love and care that goes into making these local Lula spirits.
If you are looking for a beautiful venue for an event, or a fabulous dinner, I would recommend Lula's. They treated us very well and we will be back!

We will mix them up with lunches, dinners and some cocktail hours with small bites so we can ensure that our event schedule meshes with the availability of our members and guests. And sometimes we just have a great idea and everything comes together for a great pop-up!
